Think of a person’s face as an architectural structure. For the aesthetic dentist, the front teeth are the showcase that reflects the smile, image and character of that person, which allows his personality to be synthesised by the other person. Teeth are incredibly important for body health. The position of the teeth in the mouth while laughing, speaking, with the lips closed is so different that there is no problem when a person is talking, but when laughing, all the gums are visible, then his charisma is spoilt. Now everyone knows that the smile is the image of the person, especially in our digitalised world with Digital tools in everyone’s hands…
Now, is it possible to achieve an aesthetic smile without cutting the teeth that our patients demand from us?
Digital measurements, digital designs are now the reality of dentistry. Now it is possible to make aesthetic designs without cutting the teeth with digital measurements taken from the person and digital designs to be made on it, porcelain laminates in the thickness of the contact lens produced by three-dimensional printers. One method of understanding whether these treatments will be performed or not is the analyses to be made from the teeth. Photographs and mock-ups to be made directly on the teeth give an idea to both the dentist and our patients. The treatment method that provides an aesthetic appearance without cutting the teeth is also called minimally invasive methods. In modern dentistry, “It is an application to protect the original tissue as much as possible.” For this reason, if our patients suffer from an aesthetic appearance of their teeth, we produce solutions with developing technology to give them an aesthetic appearance without touching their dental tissues. The most prominent method of these solutions is MINIMAL INVASIVE methods.
After the photo analysis and determination of the requests for people who want a new smile design, if the requests are aesthetic solutions without touching the original tooth, this can be determined after the MOCK UP application and a treatment planning is carried out accordingly. In the analysis made with photographs, especially an evaluation of the teeth is made. As a result of this evaluation, the need is determined. What is the need of our patient, the incompatibility of the gum level, the incompatibility of the teeth with each other in terms of position, the colour or shape of the teeth, all of these are decided, usually orthodontic treatment for the incompatibility of the teeth with each other and even digital orthodontics application is performed with the developing technology.
Alignment Treatment
In the correction of the positions of the teeth with each other, transparent aligners are produced with the method called digital orthodontics, that is, by evaluating the measurement with three-dimensional scanners taken from the mouth and then in digital environment, and transparent aligners are used for six to one month depending on the size of the crowding in our patient.
Gingival Arrangement
The incompatibility of the gum levels is treated with minimally invasive methods. The incompatibility between the gum levels with special laser devices is regulated by the process called gum manicured. The gum level adjustment process takes place in about 30 minutes in a single session, the healing time of the wound site is one week, and the mouthwashes made with salt water accelerate the healing of the wound site.
Teeth Whitening
Office-type or home-type whitening is used for teeth whitening. Depending on the smoking, tea and coffee usage of our patients, the tooth colour is increased or lightened by office-type whitening or home-type whitening method.
Generally, in order to obtain more effective results in the whitening process, home type office type whitening is used together, as a result of which the tooth colour is lightened by 7.8 tones, since the whitening process will cause a fresher appearance on the teeth, most of the time, the desired appearance can be achieved by regulating the gum level, alignment treatment and then whitening. This is a sufficient result for many patients. In some patients, in addition to the regulation of the gum level, if there is a broken and worn image, it is necessary to repair and repair them, that is, these areas should be repaired and corrected with composites.
Composite Fillings (Bonding)
Composite fillings are produced as more aesthetic materials for groups and these aesthetic materials are quite transparent and have an appearance and structure that is similar to the tooth tissue, so composite fillings are very helpful in closing small fractures at the ends of the teeth or tiny gaps between the teeth. The most commonly used method among minimally invasive methods is Bonding with composite fillings. Bonding process is very helpful in the formation of the final final appearance of the teeth. Think of it like this, it is the process of adapting a dough to the missing part, where tiny touches can create magical effects on the teeth of the patients.
