Pediatric Dentistry

FIRST EXAMINATION

The first visit to the dentist should be made after the eruption of the first baby tooth. The first baby teeth usually erupt between the ages of 6 months and 1 year after birth.

The aim of the first examination by the pediatric dentist is to provide information about your child’s oral health, nutrition and preventive practices and to maintain oral and dental health with visits every 4-6 months.

It is important that you act as if it is a short routine day and do not make unnecessary explanations before coming to the first dental examination. Calmness of the family will ensure that the child is also calm.

You can come to appointments with a favorite toy of your child.

Meeting the dentist without any complaints will make it easier for your child to accept the treatments that may be necessary later.
