WHAT IS THE TOOTH IN A DAY CONCEPT?

Basically, the tooth in a day concept is a treatment procedure in which we send our patients who have lost their teeth or will lose their teeth in that session to our clinic within hours.

IN WHICH CASES IS THE TOOTH IN A DAY CONCEPT APPLIED?

The tooth in one day concept covers a wide range of cases, from the coating of a single existing tooth of our patients to completely toothless patients getting all their teeth in one day.

HOW IS THE TOOTH IN ONE DAY CONCEPT APPLIED?

It will be easier to explain this concept as a few options.

1- Patients with a tooth or old fixed prosthesis in their mouth

In these patients, we first prepare the teeth to be treated for the new prosthesis by removing the old crowns or by abrading the tooth. After the preparation phase is completed, we take digital impressions with intraoral scanners and create a virtual 3D model. We design the prostheses we will prepare using a digital software. Then, we use the engraving devices in our clinic to produce the coatings we have designed. After completing the finishing and coloring processes, we complete our treatment by sticking the prostheses in our patients’ mouths.

2- Patients with one or more missing teeth

In these patients, we first plan how we will eliminate the deficiency. If we are going to treat with a fixed prosthesis in the form of a bridge, our treatment protocol covers the same process as patients with teeth.

In patients whose edentulism will be treated with implants, we first place our implants. At this stage, digitally prepared surgical plates can help us and facilitate the process. Then, using digital scanning parts, we take our digital impression and proceed to the production phase. And within a few hours, we complete our treatment by screwing our prostheses to the implants. In this application, we prefer screw prostheses to eliminate the possibility of adhesive residues contaminating around the implant and causing bone destruction.

3- Patients who are completely toothless or candidates to be completely toothless

We make a preliminary preparation to apply this concept in these patients. Before the implant application, we prepare a surgical plate and a temporary prosthesis as an impression and bite record from our patients on our examination day. Then, on the day of the operation, we extract any teeth that need to be extracted, place our implants with the help of a surgical plate, screw our prosthesis onto the implants and complete our treatment.

By using this protocol, we reduce the time our patients spend without teeth to hours and eliminate interim sessions. In this way, we aim to reduce the time our patients spend in the clinic and allocate more time for the rest of their lives.
