Every day our patients ask us “please smile whiter aesthetic smile without touching the original structure of my teeth”.
Now people want not to get old even though they are getting older, that is, they want to keep their teeth in their mouths for many years. It is a sign of youth and good health. For this reason, it is already a routine practice to rejuvenate teeth at any age without cutting them. The aim is to keep the teeth in the mouth for life. For this reason, they want to achieve an aesthetic appearance without touching the dental tissues as much as possible.
Minimally invasive dentistry is an application aimed at preserving the original tissue as much as possible.
For this reason, if we have patients who suffer from an aesthetic appearance, we produce solutions with developing technology to give them an aesthetic appearance without touching their dental tissues. The most prominent of these solutions are MINIMALLY INVASIVE methods and these methods can be used before the wedding.
WHAT ARE MINIMALLY INVASIVE METHODS?
After the photo analysis and determination of the requests to be made for people who want a new smile design, if the requests are aesthetic solutions without touching the original tooth, this can be determined after the MOCK UP application and a treatment planning is carried out accordingly.
In the analysis made with photographs, especially an evaluation of the teeth is made. As a result of this evaluation, the need is determined.
What does our patient need? Is it the incompatibility at the gum level, is it the incompatibility of the teeth with each other in terms of position, is it the color or shape of the teeth, all these are decided. Generally, orthodontic treatment and even digital orthodontics are applied with the developing technology for the incompatibility of the teeth with each other.
Alignment Treatment
In the correction of the positions of the teeth with each other, transparent aligners are produced with the method called digital orthodontics, that is, by evaluating the measurement with three-dimensional scanners taken from the mouth and then in the digital environment, and transparent aligners are used for six to one month depending on the size of the crowding in our patient.
Gum Correction
Incompatibility in gum levels is also treated with minimally invasive methods. With special laser devices, the discrepancy between the gum levels is regulated with a procedure also called gum manicure. The gum level adjustment process takes place in a single session in about 30 minutes and the healing time of the wound site is one week. Mouthwashes made with salt water accelerate the healing of the wound site. Ozone therapy also helps gum healing.
Teeth Whitening
Office or home whitening is used for teeth whitening. Depending on the smoking, tea and coffee use of our patients, the tooth color is increased, that is, lightened, with office bleaching or home bleaching method.
Generally, in our clinic, home and office whitening are used together to achieve more effective results in the whitening process, as a result, the tooth color is lightened by 7-8 tons. Since the whitening process will cause a fresher appearance on the teeth, it is known that most of the time, the desired appearance is achieved with the regulation of the gum level, alignment treatment and then whitening. This is a sufficient result for many patients. In some patients, in addition to the regulation of the gum level, if there is a broken and worn appearance, these need to be repaired, that is, these areas need to be repaired and corrected with composites.
Composite Fillings (Bonding)
Composite fillings are produced as more aesthetic materials for groups and these aesthetic materials are quite transparent and have an appearance and structure that is exactly similar to the tooth tissue. For this reason, composite fillings are very helpful in closing small fractures at the ends of the teeth or tiny gaps between the teeth. Bonding with composite fillings is the most commonly used method among minimally invasive methods. The bonding process is very helpful in creating the final final appearance of the teeth. Think of it like this, it is the process of placing a dough exactly adapted to the missing part. Here, tiny touches can create magical effects on patients’ teeth.
Minimally invasive methods also protect the tooth tissue in order to protect the enamel. Correction of dental crowding also prevents future caries and calculus between the teeth. Adjusting the gum level, repairing a broken cracked enamel are solutions that extend the life of the tooth. It will also give you plenty of smiles at the wedding.
