Traditional Fixed Prosthesis
Fixed prostheses are prostheses made without using implants in order to restore the patient's old function, phonation or aesthetics in cases where teeth have been so severely damaged that they cannot be treated with fillings or where there are several missing teeth, provided that the last molars are not missing. When we say traditional fixed prostheses today, metal-supported porcelain prostheses, commonly known as veneers, come to mind.
Aesthetic Perfection: Dentures provide the appearance of natural teeth.
Durability: Made from high quality materials for long-lasting results.
Stain Resistance: It is less prone to staining than natural teeth.
Functionality: Restores normal chewing and biting function.
Procedure
The tooth or teeth to which a fixed prosthesis will be applied are abraded a little under water cooling to prepare the place for the prosthesis to be made. In order for our final teeth to be taken into production, a measurement is taken from inside the mouth. A model is created with this measurement in the technician laboratories and the metal infrastructure that ensures the durability of the prosthesis is processed and the aesthetic porcelain part is processed on the metal infrastructure. Our treatment is completed by fixing the prepared prostheses on the teeth with special adhesives called cement.

What are Traditional Fixed Dentures?

In Which Cases Are Traditional Fixed Prosthetics Applied?
We can prefer these prostheses in cases where we need to protect the tooth tissue and keep the tooth functional for a long time in cases of large decayed or broken teeth that cannot be treated with fillings, in the treatment of shape and position disorders in the teeth, in the treatment of occlusion disorders, in the treatment of missing teeth, in preparation for removable prostheses and in the placement of retaining elements for precision attachment prostheses.

What are our aims in treatment with traditional fixed prosthetics?
We aim to protect teeth with excessive material loss by supporting them with traditional fixed dentures, to eliminate tooth deficiencies and the problems that may arise from them, and to make the necessary arrangements for the comfortable use of removable dentures.
Can Traditional Fixed Dentures Be Removable?
Once the treatment is completed and the teeth are permanently bonded, they cannot be removed by our patients. When necessary, we, as doctors, can separate the dentures from the teeth using special tools for removal.
How Should Traditional Fixed Dentures Be Maintained?
Just like our normal teeth, we need to brush the areas where our dentures are after every meal in the same way. The interfaces of the dentures prepared individually should be cleaned with dental floss. In cases where there is a lack of teeth, special dental floss and mouthwashes should be used to clean the area under our crowns in the toothless area of the dentures prepared. We need to be careful not to break hard-shelled nuts such as walnuts and hazelnuts, which can also damage our real teeth, with our dentures.
