Receding gums

The Importance of Gum Covering

Teeth continue their existence in the oral environment in close relation to the jawbone and gums. The disorders defined as gum disease are of great importance in that they reflect the disorders of not only the gums but also all the tissues under the gum cover (jawbone, tooth root). Gum bleeding and small amounts of gum recession, which seem very simple but are neglected, can be the first signs of serious problems.

Factors That Cause Gum Recession

  • Incorrect tooth brushing
  • Using a very hard brush
  • Untreated gum disease
  • Crooked teeth
  • Smoking
  • Poor oral hygiene

There are many more reasons like these.
