Ramadan With the arrival of the holy month, changing eating habits cause disruptions in oral and dental care. Not eating or drinking anything throughout the day during Ramadan brings about bad breath and bacterial growth. Güzin Kırsaçlıoğlu, one of the four Turkish members of the European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (EAED), said, “Teeth should be brushed for at least two minutes between iftar and sahur. Dental floss should be used. Decreased saliva secretion should be prevented by drinking plenty of fluids.”
