Ice is applied to the implant area for 3-5 minutes and then rested for 8-10 minutes. Caution should be exercised as excessive application may cause ice burn. Ice should be applied intensively for the first 24 hours and intermittently for the next 24 hours for 2 days. Of course, this application may be shortened with the recommendation of your physician depending on the number of implants installed and the severity of the operation.
